Bitget to support sub-accounts for CFD copy trading

To provide greater flexibility for fund segregation, diversified strategy testing, and more refined account management, Bitget CFD copy trading will support sub-accounts starting August 18, 2026.

Once the feature is available, users with a standard sub-account or standard virtual sub-account can use the sub-account to create a CFD elite portfolio or start copy trading.

How does this update benefit you?

For elite traders:

• Create elite portfolios: Sub-accounts can apply to become CFD elite traders directly from the copy trading page and choose to create either a public or private portfolio.
• Same process: Portfolio creation, identity verification, MT5 disclaimer acknowledgment, and fund transfer rules are the same as those for the main account.
• Manage private portfolios: Sub-accounts can also create and manage referral links and referral codes for private portfolios.

For copiers:

• Copy trade independently: Sub-accounts can start copy trading directly from the leaderboard or an elite trader's profile.
• Same rules: The copy trading setup process, risk control settings, and referral code verification for private portfolios are the same as those for the main account.

How have the portfolio limits changed?

With sub-account access now available, Bitget has adjusted the limits for CFD elite portfolios and copy trading portfolios.
Please note that these limits are calculated collectively at the main account level, including the main account and all associated sub-accounts.

CFD copy trading portfolios	10	50 (each sub-account can follow up to 10 elite traders)

Note: Separate MT5 profit-sharing accounts are not included in the elite portfolio limit above.

Eligibility and supported account types

- Eligibility: A sub-account can access CFD copy trading only after the main account has completed identity verification. If the required trading account has not yet been opened, the system will guide the user through the account opening process.
- Supported account types: Standard sub-accounts and standard virtual sub-accounts.
