Bitget Now Supports U.S. Stock Options Pre-Market Trading

2026-07-31 10:270622
On July 31, 2026, Bitget launched pre-market trading for U.S. stock options, enabling users to adjust positions, capture price opportunities, and hedge against opening-gap risk ahead of the regular market session—particularly following earnings releases, macroeconomic data, or unexpected market events.

The extended trading window also provides greater flexibility for event-driven strategies and global trading activities.

To ensure a high-quality trading experience, the initial launch supports options on 45 popular U.S. stocks and ETFs, including major index ETFs such as SPY and QQQ, as well as widely traded individual stocks. Bitget and its market-making partners will continuously review and update the list of eligible underlyings, with additional instruments expected to be added in the future.

Overview of Options Pre-Market Trading
Options pre-market trading is an extended-hours quotation and matching service provided in cooperation with market makers. It is not part of the official exchange trading session.
During the pre-market session, users may submit options orders. Market makers may respond to and match eligible orders based on their quoted prices. This allows investors to react to market developments earlier and trade with greater flexibility.
Options pre-market trading hours are aligned with U.S. stock pre-market hours: Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM–9:30 AM ET.

Notice: Liquidity during pre-market hours may be lower, while bid-ask spreads and price volatility may be greater than during regular trading hours. Please consider using limit orders and ensure you understand the associated risks before trading.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How does Bitget (PARSA) offer options pre-market trading?
Options pre-market trading is an extended-hours quotation and matching service offered in cooperation with market makers. It is not part of the official exchange trading session.
During the pre-market session, users may submit options orders, and market makers may respond to and match eligible orders based on their quoted prices. This enables users to react to market developments earlier and trade with greater flexibility.

Q2: Which instruments support options pre-market trading?
The initial launch supports options on 45 popular U.S. stocks and ETFs.

You can view the list of eligible underlying stocks in the Options Pre-Market Trading Rankings section of the App. On the options chain page, enable the Pre-Market Eligible filter to view contracts available for pre-market trading. Quotes marked with the Pre-Market label represent the latest pre-market prices.
Market makers will continuously evaluate market conditions and update the list of eligible options underlyings. More instruments may be added in the future.

Q3: Why does my order not appear in the order book?
Options pre-market trading uses a non-public matching model with market makers. Your order will not be displayed in the public BBO (Best Bid and Offer).
All orders are maintained in the market maker’s order book and may be executed once the market maker’s quoted price matches your order price.

Q4: Is short selling supported during options pre-market trading?
Short selling is not currently supported during the pre-market session. However, if you already hold an options contract that is eligible for pre-market trading, you may sell it to close your position during this period.

Q5: How are options pre-market orders charged? Are there additional fees?
Options pre-market orders follow the same fee schedule as orders placed during regular trading hours. No additional fees apply.

Q6: Can Options Cash Cards or Commission-Free Cards be used for options pre-market orders?
No. Options Cash Cards and Commission-Free Cards are not currently supported for options pre-market trading.

Q7: Why has the pre-market option price changed while my position P&L remains unchanged?
The App allows you to choose whether pre-market prices are used to calculate your options P&L.
To adjust this setting, go to:
Profile > Settings > Asset Settings > Enable or disable “Use Extended-Hours Prices for Options.”

Q8: Can I receive a margin call during options pre-market trading?
Options positions are included in the account’s overall risk calculations during the pre-market session. However, if a margin call triggers forced liquidation, the actual liquidation process will be carried out after the regular market opens.

Q9: Why was my pre-market options trade cancelled after the market opened?
In exceptional circumstances, a pre-market options trade may be cancelled after the market opens if the underlying stock enters an abnormal trading status, such as a trading halt.

If this occurs, the affected order amount or position quantity will be restored to its pre-market trading state.
