Crude oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz slightly recovers as more supertankers depart

In recent days, there have been signs of a recovery in the number of supertankers transporting non-sanctioned crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz, offering limited relief to an oil market facing the largest supply disruptions in history. According to vessel tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, since May 10, four tankers carrying 2 million barrels of crude each have departed, most of which are loaded with Iraqi oil. Nevertheless, before the outbreak of the Iran war, about 20 tankers of various sizes passed through this waterway every day.
