Becerra: Optimistic About Waller's Timely Appointment as Fed Chair
On April 16, U.S. Treasury Secretary Becerra expressed optimism on Wednesday regarding Trump's nominee for Federal Reserve Chair, Waller, being appointed on schedule. "He will undergo a hearing on the 21st of this month. He is an outstanding candidate. We know that the Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee are in unanimous agreement on this," Becerra stated at the White House. "I am very optimistic that Waller will be appointed as Fed Chair on time," he said.
