Golden Ten Data, April 16 – According to a statement from Australian police, emergency services are responding to a "major fire" at the Geelong refinery of Viva Energy Group in southern Australia. Police said the fire was reported at about 11 pm local time. The refinery, located in Victoria, has a crude oil processing capacity of 120,000 barrels per day according to the company’s official website, and is one of only two refineries still operating in the country. The company’s website shows that this refinery supplies over 50% of Victoria's fuel and about 10% of the nation's fuel.
