The blockchain gaming infrastructure team Lattice is gradually shutting down, and the Redstone Network will cease operations on May 16.
Foresight News reports that the blockchain gaming infrastructure team Lattice has announced it will gradually shut down operations after five years, with its Layer 2 network Redstone scheduled to cease operation on May 16, 2026, at 07:59. Lattice reminds users to withdraw their funds before this date, especially assets in contracts such as Uniswap pools. After shutdown, only the L1 withdrawal contract will be deployed for external account balance withdrawals, and funds within contracts will be irretrievable.
Lattice was founded in 2021 and focused on building autonomous worlds, having developed the MUD framework, Redstone chain, Quarry, and Dozer tools, but was unable to achieve a sustainable business model. The team intends to use remaining funds for its final project, the DUST autonomous world, but its scale does not support ongoing operations, and they do not believe VC funding is the correct path.
