AMLBot: Addresses frozen by Circle suspected to be linked to DFINITY ckETH cross-chain service
According to ChainCatcher, information published by ZachXBT and on-chain analysis firm AMLBot indicates that one of the addresses mistakenly frozen by Circle in a civil case, 0xb25ea1d493b49a1ded42ac5b1208cc618f9a9b80, is related to the DFINITY ecosystem.
Related operational guidelines show that this address participates in the cross-chain exchange process between ETH and ckETH. It is used for users to deposit ETH, after which the ICP-side contract mints ckETH, and when necessary, exchanges ckETH back to ETH on Ethereum. It is a typical operation/bridge service wallet. Last night, it was reported that ZachXBT questioned Circle's freezing of USDC in 16 business hot wallets.
