Zcash Foundation deploys 5 DNS seed nodes in response to ECC node shutdown
ChainCatcher reported that the Zcash Foundation has officially announced the deployment of five new DNS seed nodes in the United States and Europe, in response to the potential discontinuation of DNS seed node services operated by Electric Coin Company (ECC). The newly deployed seed nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the United States, as well as Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe. As of now, including the existing seed nodes, the total number of seed nodes operated by the Zcash Foundation has reached six, aiming to ensure reliable node discovery for users and improve the startup performance of wallets and nodes.
In addition, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployments in other regions to enhance coverage and reliability, and Shielded Labs is also working to deploy additional seed nodes.
