Golden Ten Data reported on January 3 that in an interview with Fox News, Trump stated that Venezuelan President Maduro had attempted to negotiate in the final days before being captured by the US military, but the US president said he rejected the proposal. "I didn't want to negotiate," he said. "I said, 'No, we have to take action.'"
