The three major U.S. stock indices closed collectively lower, with the Dow down 2.08%, the Nasdaq down 4%, and the S&P 500 down 2.7%, as large tech stocks tumbled, with Tesla down more than 15%, Nvidia down more than 5%, Apple, Meta, and Google down more than 4%, and Microsoft down more than 3%.
