Mintoak acquires CBDC startup Digiledge for $3.5 million

Indian financial technology company Mintoak recently acquired the startup company Digiledge, which focuses on central bank digital currency, for approximately $3.5 million. This is the first acquisition case in the Indian CBDC field, and Mintoak has previously received investment support from PayPal and HDFC Bank.

Through this acquisition, Mintoak will integrate Digiledge's expertise in CBDC and bill payment into its comprehensive digital rupee payment solutions for its partner banks, including HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and the State Bank of India.
