U.S. stocks opened higher, with all three major indexes closing collectively higher
Gold Finance reports that US stocks opened higher and closed higher, with the three major indices closing collectively higher. The Nasdaq rose 1.5 per cent, the S&P 500 rose 1.04 per cent and the Dow rose 0.77 per cent. Intel rose more than 7%, renewing its record closing high since last December. Tesla rose more than 5%, after media reports that Trump proposed $400 million to purchase Musk ‘armoured’ tram, the U.S. State Department later deleted the relevant information. Nvidia rose more than 3% to close at a new high since 25 January. Apple shares rose about 2%, Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a post on social media X, February 19, ‘ready to welcome the newest member of the family’.Meta rose slightly, recorded 19 consecutive daily gains, shares continued to hit a record high, the total market capitalisation of 1.85 trillion U.S. dollars.
