Investors anticipate Fed rate cut, $245 billion inflows into funds in first half of 2024
Investors dumped $245 billion into active funds, index mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the first half of 2024 as expectations grew that the Federal Reserve would begin cutting interest rates as early as September. That compares with inflows of roughly $150 billion in the same period a year earlier.
