Tether: Will freeze addresses related to sanctioned entities in Venezuela
Golden Finance reports that a spokesperson for Tether said the company remains committed to halting transactions with entities sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) following reports that Venezuela’s state-run oil company is using its stablecoin to bypass sanctions. People said: “Tether respects the OFAC SDN list and is committed to ensuring that sanctioned addresses are frozen immediately.”
