Ripple CTO rejects proposal to donate 30 billion XRP to XRPL Foundation
Anodos Finance co-founder Panos Mekras suggested that Ripple donate approximately 30 billion XRP to XRPLF, which he hopes will oversee the use of XRP through grants, marketing, and educational activities. In response, Ripple’s chief technology officer David Schwartz said that executing the proposal is not feasible. Schwartz emphasized that it is unrealistic to simply transfer XRP to another entity and expect responsible use.
