Crypto reporter: US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce will teach at law school
Odaily reported that crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett posted on X that Hester Peirce (known as "Crypto Mom") will join the Regent University School of Law in Virginia, USA, as an associate professor this November, according to the university’s latest press release. Hester Peirce currently serves as a commissioner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and leads the cryptocurrency working group. The new teaching appointment is seen by the market as a signal that her tenure at the regulatory agency may be nearing its end. According to the announcement, she will teach courses on securities regulation, financial markets, digital assets, and public policy in her new role. The industry believes this move could further impact the personnel structure and future direction of the U.S. crypto regulatory policy team.

Bond market warnings: The AI wave may worsen Kevin Warsh’s inflation dilemma
Analysts point out that the emerging AI boom is significantly raising capital demands and stoking inflationary pressures, with just a few major tech giants planning to invest more than $700 billion in related projects this year. AI-related bond issuance is putting heavy pressure on U.S. Treasury bonds, driving borrowing costs higher. Futures traders are now even starting to bet that the Federal Reserve might be forced to raise interest rates before December this year. (Bloomberg)
