Former OpenAI researcher Aschenbrenner makes a big bet on bitcoin mining companies while shorting Nvidia and AMD
ChainCatcher news, according to a CoinDesk report, former OpenAI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner had increased his disclosed investment size from $5.5 billion to $13.67 billion as of March 31, 2026, and made significant purchases in Bitcoin mining companies and AI infrastructure firms. His main holdings include mining companies such as IREN, Core Scientific, Riot Platforms, CleanSpark, Bitfarms, Bitdeer, and Hive Digital, betting that their power resources and data center capabilities will benefit from the growing demand for AI computing power.

Data: The market capitalization of 23 tokenized US Treasury funds exceeds 100 million dollars, with Circle’s USYC being the largest in scale.
According to ChainCatcher, data from Token Terminal shows that there are currently 23 tokenized US Treasury (T-Bill) funds on the market with a market capitalization of over $100 million each, and the total value of tokenized assets has reached $13.7 billion. Among them, USYC issued by Circle is currently the largest T-Bill fund, with a market capitalization of $2.9 billion on BNB Chain. Next are iBENJI (Franklin Templeton), BUILD (BlackRock), and JTRSY (Invesco) on Ethereum, with market capitalizations of $1.4 billion, $1.2 billion, and $1.1 billion respectively.

Aster DEX launches voting-based token listing mechanism, with the first proposals being BTC/U and ETH/U perpetual contracts
Foresight News reports that Aster has launched the Listing Vote mechanism, allowing validators who stake 20 million ASTER to initiate listing proposals, which will then be voted on-chain by all ASTER stakers according to their staking weight. The first proposal was initiated by United Stables and concerns the listing of BTC/U and ETH/U perpetual contracts. The voting deadline is May 22 at 14:00 (UTC+8).
