The Dow Jones breaks through the historic 50,000-point mark
Jinse Finance reported that during the US trading session on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average made a historic breakthrough of the 50,000-point mark. This is the latest milestone achieved by the US economy after years of robust growth. During this period, the US economy not only outperformed other developed economies but also attracted a large amount of investment globally. Chris Hyzy, Chief Investment Officer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Private Bank, stated: "In any case, we do not believe that the opportunities in the US market have ended." The recent climb of the Dow in recent months marks a reversal from the trend earlier last year, when Trump's tariff hikes triggered market turmoil. However, since then, many of Wall Street's concerns about the impact of tariffs have not materialized, and as the US economy continues to grow strongly, investors remain optimistic that the Federal Reserve will continue to cut interest rates this year. Nevertheless, although the Dow is steadily moving toward the 100,000-point milestone, there are still warning signs in some areas of the economy. Price pressures continue to squeeze the lives of millions of low- and middle-income Americans, and US job growth remains sluggish. Meanwhile, overseas economic growth and expansionary government policies have led international markets to outperform the highly valued US market in recent months. This may mean that some individual stocks driving the Dow's rise could face greater pressure in the future.
