  • Bitwise filed an amended S-1 for its Avalanche ETF, setting a 0.34% fee and confirming the BAVA ticker.
  • The trust plans AVAX staking and will track the CME CF Avalanche-Dollar Reference Rate.
  • AVAX gained over 7% as trading volume increased following the updated ETF filing.

Bitwise advanced its Avalanche ETF effort after it filed an amended S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing included key details that outlined the management fee, ticker, and a temporary waiver. Market activity reacted quickly. AVAX gained more than 7 percent during the same period as broader crypto markets recovered. The filing arrived as traders watched several altcoin ETF developments across U.S. exchanges. The updated document created fresh attention around Avalanche exposure through a regulated product.

Updated Filing Outlines Fee Structure and Ticker

Bitwise submitted the first amendment to its spot Avalanche ETF application . The firm set a 0.34 percent management fee in the new document. The issuer also introduced a full fee waiver for one month or until assets reach $500 million. This approach matched the structure used in its other altcoin-related funds.

Bitwise confirmed the “BAVA” ticker for NYSE Arca. The issuer kept the delaying amendment in place. The move aligned with earlier guidance from the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance. Bitwise filed the original Avalanche ETF request in September. VanEck and Grayscale submitted similar filings during that period.

DTCC added the Avalanche ETF to its website last month. That listing signaled progress toward approval and exchange readiness. The trust aims to track AVAX performance through the CME CF Avalanche-Dollar Reference Rate. The filing also described a plan to include staking rewards as a secondary objective.

Roles for Custodians and Seed Capital

Coinbase Custody Trust Company will hold Avalanche assets for the fund. BNY Mellon will manage the cash portion. Bitwise Investment Manager will purchase the first baskets of shares. The seed transaction will include $2,500,000 at $25 per share for 100,000 shares. ]

These details outlined the operational foundation planned for the ETF once trading begins. This week, Bitwise introduced its XRP and Dogecoin ETFs. Those launches generated broad market attention and added momentum to its product lineup. AVAX moved higher after the Avalanche ETF update.

The token traded at $14.94 at the time of reporting. The 24-hour range held between $13.93 and $14.99. Trading volume increased by almost 15 percent during the same window. The price gained more than 17 percent over the week
