TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 is almost here, and you can still grab your tickets right here! Alongside our main event and the annual Startup Battlefield 200 contest, we’re excited to introduce a fresh TechCrunch series: Build Mode.

Led by Startup Battlefield editor Isabelle Johannessen, Build Mode serves as a practical guide for early-stage founders facing the unpredictable and intense journey of launching a startup. No glossing over the tough parts. No empty promises. Just straightforward discussions and actionable insights from those who’ve been through it all—and have the battle scars (and signed term sheets) to show for it.

Beginning November 13, Isabelle will interview founders, investors, and operators to reveal the real journeys behind building companies. Each season and weekly episode will focus on a topic that keeps founders awake at night: navigating go-to-market hurdles, the stress of raising funds, managing cash flow, hiring mistakes, and everything else that comes with the territory.

No matter if you prefer Apple, Spotify, or YouTube, you’ll be able to listen to Build Mode wherever you get your podcasts. Plus, look out for bonus material and exclusive clips on TechCrunch’s social media, including Instagram, X, and TikTok. If you haven’t subscribed yet, time is running out before our official launch in just a few weeks!

Watch the Build Mode trailer and get a sneak peek at Season One right here:

Season One of Build Mode starts by exploring the highs, lows, and raw truths of bringing a product to market. From major wins to spectacular setbacks, we’ll break down what it really takes to turn an idea into reality. We’re also thrilled to have J.P. Morgan as our Season One sponsor.

And this is only the start.

Our vision for Build Mode goes beyond just a podcast; we aim to create a network of builders supporting each other, much like the 1,700+ startups that have participated in Startup Battlefield. We want to hear from you—founders, operators, and curious listeners—about the issues and topics that truly matter to you.

We’ll be featuring stories, advice, and questions from the community in future episodes, so keep an eye out for ways to join the conversation!

If you were a subscriber to our Found podcast, welcome back! You’re already part of the Build Mode family. The Found archive will remain available, so you can revisit past founder interviews and insights anytime. No barriers—just genuine stories and valuable lessons, open to anyone daring enough to build something new.
