Algorand Foundation appoints former Ripple engineer Nikolaos Bougalis as Chief Technology Officer
Jinse Finance reported that the Algorand Foundation has appointed former Ripple engineering lead and senior cryptography expert Nikolaos Bougalis as CTO. He will be responsible for advancing the 2025 technology roadmap, with a focus on strengthening decentralization, scalability, and security, as well as promoting enterprise adoption. He will collaborate with Algorand Technologies, focusing on privacy, quantum resistance, and performance optimization. His US-based role aims to expand enterprise and institutional partnerships for compliance infrastructure. Meanwhile, the ALGO token has risen approximately 2.6% in the past 24 hours. Additionally, according to information on this page, DL Holdings has purchased 2,995 Antminer S21 units from Bitmain for $41.1 million, bringing the total number of mining machines to 5,195 with a total hashrate of 2.1 EH/s. The company plans to become the largest listed mining enterprise in Hong Kong within two years and to advance mining tokenization and AI optimization.
