Ethereum investors buy $1.6B in ETH as inflows hit $990M
Ethereum treasury firms have acquired over 545,000 ETH (CRYPTO:ETH), valued at roughly $1.6 billion, in the last month amid rising institutional interest.
BitMine Immersion Technologies, led by Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, holds 163,142 ETH worth about $480 million at current prices.
Lee compared Ethereum accumulation to Bitcoin, saying, “ETH treasuries which [can] accumulate 5% of the ETH supply can benefit from a similar ‘Wall Street put’,” suggesting growing institutional confidence in Ethereum.
Joseph Lubin’s gaming platform SharpLink has amassed over 255,000 ETH after recent purchases, including 24,371 ETH for $73.2 million on July 15.
“self-appointed representative of The League of Extraordinary ETH Accumulator Gentlemen,” Lubin referred to himself as, acknowledging other corporate buyers like BitMine.
Additional corporate treasuries include Bit Digital, holding more than 100,000 ETH, and Blockchain Technology Consensus Solutions, which expanded its holdings to 29,122 ETH this month through a $62.4 million raise.
GameSquare also announced a strategic $100 million Ethereum treasury initiative on July 8.
Ethereum-focused digital investment funds have seen $990 million in inflows over the past week, marking the 12th consecutive week of gains and the fourth largest single-week inflow on record, according to CoinShares.
So far this year, Ethereum products have attracted over $4 billion, with nearly 30% of that inflow occurring within the past two weeks as institutional interest intensifies.
Ethereum’s 12-week inflows represent 19.5% of total assets under management across Ether funds, compared to 9.8% for Bitcoin funds.
Following a peak above $3,000 on July 11, ETH price has dipped slightly but still shows a weekly gain of 17%, reflecting ongoing market momentum around Ethereum’s expanding institutional adoption.
At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $2,987.05.
