Fed’s June Meeting Minutes May Reveal the Likelihood of a September Rate Cut
According to a report by Jinse Finance citing foreign media analysis, the minutes of the Federal Reserve's June meeting are scheduled to be released at 2:00 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday. At the June policy meeting, Federal Reserve officials kept interest rates between 4.25% and 4.50%, and indicated that there could be two rate cuts before the end of the year. Investors will focus on signs in the minutes that the Fed's wait-and-see phase is nearing its end. The June statement confirmed improvements in inflation data, and the minutes may further indicate that the committee expects to obtain the data needed to make a rate cut decision before the end of summer. If conditions meet expectations, this will strengthen market anticipation of a rate cut in September.
