Odaily Planet Daily News According to Hong Kong media outlet Hong Kong Economic Journal, with the release of the "Hong Kong Digital Asset Development Policy Statement 2.0" by the Hong Kong government, the wording now officially changes "virtual assets" to "digital assets." Industry insiders believe that "digital assets" is a more comprehensive term, covering the tokenization of existing financial products and presenting a more positive image. Hong Kong Legislative Council member Duncan Chiu stated that after the renaming, digital assets have a broader scope, and the policy vision and direction for the next steps are now more clearly articulated.
