Trump: Hopes for 100% of American Cars to Be Made in the USA
According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. President Trump stated that although he has given American automakers "some leeway" regarding tariffs, he expects automakers to fully resume domestic car manufacturing next year. When asked about the impact of tariffs on companies like Tesla in the Oval Office, Trump told reporters, "All manufacturers will also produce parts here." Trump continued, "It used to bother me a lot, (automakers) making one part in Canada, one part in Mexico, one part in Europe, and then sending them everywhere, no one knows what's really happening." "I think if you build a car, you should manufacture it in the U.S. ... In the coming year, they must make everything in the U.S."
