Ethereum Fusaka Hard Fork Expected to Occur in Late 2025
According to Jinse, Ethereum Foundation officials stated that the Ethereum Fusaka hard fork is expected to take place in the third or fourth quarter of 2025, but the exact timeline has not been determined. Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko confirmed that "EOF has been removed from the Fusaka network upgrade" because developers believe "there is technical uncertainty which could delay the launch of Fusaka." EOF was originally planned to introduce a scalable and versioned smart contract bytecode container format through a series of Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), but it faced opposition due to its complexity and the potential for introducing more vulnerabilities.
