Sam Altman hints that OpenAI may launch a social application in response to Meta AI competition
PANews reported on February 28th that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted on the X platform, hinting that the company might venture into the field of social applications. In response to news about Meta's plan to launch a standalone Meta AI application, he said, "Well, maybe we will make a social application," and jokingly stated that if Facebook (Meta) tries to challenge OpenAI, and OpenAI counteracts Meta in return, it would be very interesting.
