Trump nominated Caroline Pham to serve as acting chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), according to market news.
Trump reportedly appointed current Republican commissioner Chris Giancarlo as acting chairman in January 2017, and Giancarlo was formally approved by the Senate for the role in August.Acting CFTC chairmen usually have the potential to become permanent chairmen.
