Shiba Inu Expands Metaverse With Chainlink’s CCIP
Shiba Inu is advancing its ecosystem by integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) into SHIB: The Metaverse, enabling seamless cross-chain transactions and virtual land purchases on Ethereum and Shibarium networks.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem is accelerating its growth by strengthening its integration with Chainlink technology.
The latest step forward sees SHIB: The Metaverse adopting Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), setting the stage for a more interconnected and versatile blockchain experience.
SHIB: The Metaverse Launches Cross-Chain Transactions Using Chainlink CCIP
Earlier this month, Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain, partnered with Chainlink to enhance cross-chain interoperability and integrate advanced data solutions.
This partnership positions the ecosystem for groundbreaking multi-chain applications, making it more accessible and robust for users and developers. By utilizing Chainlink’s CCIP and Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, Shiba Inu’s native assets — SHIB, LEASH, and BONE — can now operate smoothly across 12 blockchains.
This initiative has now been expanded into Shiba Inu’s SHIB: The Metaverse project. Within the metaverse, users can now purchase virtual land using ETH or SHIB across both Ethereum and Shibarium networks. This innovation not only simplifies transactions but also encourages broader participation in the virtual ecosystem.
Shiba Inu has achieved a significant milestone with SHIB: The Metaverse, offering customizable avatars, virtual land ownership, and interactive experiences. These features redefine digital engagement by empowering users to express creativity, own digital assets, and interact in an immersive environment.
The Shibarium-based project bridges the gap between the physical and digital worlds while setting a new standard for community interaction in virtual spaces.
Over the years, Shiba Inu has evolved significantly from its beginnings as a meme coin into a fully-fledged ecosystem. Market observers said the launch of projects such as Shibarium, the creation of SHIB: The Metaverse, and gaming ventures like Shiba Eternity highlight its dedication to innovation and delivering real-world utility.
In line with this evolution, Shiba Inu is preparing to unveil the highly anticipated TREAT token. This final ecosystem token empowers users through governance, rewards, and voting capabilities. According to Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, TREAT will play a pivotal role in the project’s next phase, reflecting the ecosystem’s ambition to stay ahead of industry trends.
“So now that the Metaverse is rolling out well and those who said it wasn’t coming have been once againit’s time to start talking about TREAT, the future of our state and what we’ve been up to the last few years to ensure we are ahead of the pack,” Kusama stated.
