Final battle of 2024: The European Central Bank cuts interest rates by 25 basis points as scheduled
On December 12, the last interest rate decision of 2024, the European Central Bank lowered the deposit mechanism interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.00%. This is the third consecutive meeting where they have reduced rates by 25 basis points, in line with market expectations; a total reduction of 100 basis points within the year.
