On 8 November, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said that the labour market has cooled considerably and is now largely in balance.
The strong performance of the latest economic data is highly welcome. Policy remains restrictive.
No further cooling of the labour market is needed. Today's decision is another step in the recalibration process.
