Wolfe Research: the Fed may shift to cutting rates every other meeting again
On Oct. 11, Stephanie Roth, chief economist at Wolfe Research, said this could cause some Fed officials to consider a pause in rate cuts, depending on what the subsequent data show.Roth said, “I don't think today's data will change much. We expect them to cut rates at every meeting, but if the job market and inflation data continue their current trends, they may well switch to cutting rates every other meeting.
