According to CoinGecko, the largest single-day drop in cryptocurrency market value in 2024 was 8.4%, which occurred on March 20th. Meanwhile, over the past decade, the biggest single-day pullback in the global crypto market happened during the Covid-19 crash on March 13th, 2020 with a plunge of 39.6%. Massive sell-offs caused the total cryptocurrency market value to plummet from $223.74 billion down to $135.14 billion.
