US state passes bill to support Bitcoin
The US state of Louisiana has reportedly passed a pro-Bitcoin bill aimed at protecting access to the asset and restricting central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). The move coincides with another state also enshrining Bitcoin rights into law.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signature the pro-Bitcoin bill after bipartisan approval in both the House and Senate.
This legislation, introduced by Representative Mark Wright and Senator Jean-Paul Cousin, aims to facilitate easier access to Bitcoin , while imposing restrictions on CBDCs.
The new law ensures that individuals can securely hold Bitcoin and allows businesses to use and accept BTC without facing legal hurdles.
