Base protocol leader: Base gas limit has been increased to 5 million
Jesse Pollak, the head of the Base protocol, wrote on X platform: "We have increased the gas target of Base to 5 mgas/s, so gas costs are rapidly decreasing and are expected to stabilize at a lower level - although demand may increase. Our long-term goal is to achieve 1 Ggas/s (which is currently 400 times), and we will share more information about the latest progress in the coming weeks."
