Mark Yusko: The probability of the US SEC approving an Ethereum spot ETF this year is less than 50%
Mark Yusko, founder and CEO of Morgan Creek Capital Management, said that the probability of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving an Ethereum spot ETF in the United States this year is less than 50%. Considering SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's remarks, it seems that US financial authorities are still keeping a distance from virtual assets. Yusco stated that one reason why it is difficult for an Ethereum spot ETF to be approved is because the SEC classifies BTC as a commodity but considers Ethereum as a security.
